The MikroTik hEX S is a compact and affordable five-port Gigabit Ethernet router designed for locations where wireless connectivity is not required. Compared to the standard hEX, the hEX S adds a 1.25 Gbps SFP cage and PoE output on port #5, making it more versatile.

Powered by a dual-core 880 MHz CPU and 256 MB RAM, the hEX S can handle advanced RouterOS configurations, including IPsec hardware encryption (~470 Mbps). It also supports The Dude server package, features a USB 2.0 port, and includes a microSD slot for improved file storage and monitoring performance.
